Spring Happenings 2019 Around The Olympic Peninsula

In many small towns there are events celebrating their specialty, the uniqueness of the area, and here are just 4 examples of events happening within the next month.
Forks Rainfest April 19-20 “River and Ocean Days” Earth Day, Umbrella Decorating, Free River Floats, Forever Twilight Collection, Umbrella Parade, River & Ocean Film Festival….and April 26-28 “Festival of The Arts” Fabric of the Forest Quilt Show, Rainfest Book Sale, Art League Show, A Dance, Cedar Weaving Class, Peninsula Spinning & Fiber Retreat.
Sequim Irrigation Festival May 3 – May 12. For 124 years the tradition of celebrating the first headgate opening on the Dungeness River, to water this dry prairie, has taken place the first part of May. There is a Carnival, Art Shows, Fun Run, Kids Parade & Grand Parade, Hot Rods Show, Strongman Showdown, Logging Show, Crafts Fair, Art Show, Golf Tournament and much more.
Port Townsend Rhododendron Festival is the 3rd full weekend of May (May 15-19). There is a Carnival, Bed Races, Trike Races, Pet Parade, Kids Parade, Grand Parade, Cake picnic, Rhody Golf Tournament, Running of The Balls, and a Rhody Run.
